Andres Camacho - Brand Ambassador
Andres discovered jiujitsu at the age of 30 and immediately fell in love with the discipline, structure and benefits of martial arts. His commitment to practice makes it evident he is making up for lost time. As a developing blue belt it is clear he has the will and the drive to earn his black belt and has passionately embarked on that journey. He has the great fortune of training under Master Rilion Gracie whose ever increasing scrutiny shapes him like a piece of clay.
A yoga teacher since returning from India (4 year pilgrimage ’09-13), and a practitioner for more than 12 years, he comes to martial arts with some advanced understanding of the body and mind. Knowledge he uses to his advantage on the mat, even testing himself twice a year at the IBJJF Miami Open. Flexibility and breath control come to mind as additional specialties, but his most dangerous asset is how much he loves the game itself.
He was born in Florida to Colombian parents and has lived there most of his life, but his early childhood was spent in Bogota. He is fluent in English and Spanish, and is avidly learning Portuguese. He holds a BA from FIU in Philosophy and is a deep thinker by nature. His passion is teaching committed individuals a combination of techniques suited to their specific needs.
